“De-Stressing With the Three Basic Principles of Yin Yoga”
How we practice Yin Yoga is much more important than the postures we practice. Yin Yoga is an inward practice designed to bring stillness to mind, body and breath. And, in this stillness we build an awareness of self “in the present moment” as well as non-attachment, equanimity and contentment. We do not use our body to get into a pose, we use the pose to drop into the depths of our body and mind. We relax our muscles to bypass our muscles, thereby going deeper into our fascia to create more mobility by hydrating our connective tissues targeted by each posture.
